Study in Australia – Study in Australia is the official Australian Government website for international students and their families to learn more about Australia as a study destination.

Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) – DoHA is responsible for immigration and customs border policy including granting student and other visas.

The ESOS Act – The ESOS framework protects the rights of international students studying in Australia and outlines the standards that Australia education providers must meet in offering education and training services to international students.

 

CRICOS – It is the official Australian Government website that lists all Australian education providers and registered courses for international students.
 

Tuition Protection Service (TPS) – The TPS is an initiative of the Australian Government to assist international students whose education providers are unable to fully deliver their course of study. It ensures international students complete their course with another provider or receive a refund of their spent tuition fees.

 

Department of Health – This website provides information about Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and the deed that sets out the conditions that private health insurers must comply with.

PrivateHealth.gov.au – This is an Australian Government website that outlines health insurance covers available for those who are visiting Australia and hold a temporary visa such as subclass 500 (Student Visa), 485 (Temporary Graduate).

Australia – The official Australian Government website is the central website providing links to various Australian Government departments and agencies as well as selected state and territory resources.

Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) – The AQF specifies the standards for education and training qualifications in Australia. It is a single national qualification framework delivered through the consultation between the Australian Government Depart of Education and states and territories.

 

Universities Australia – Universities Australia is the peak body for the Universities in Australia and provides expert policy advice on behalf of 39 members universities.

 

TAFE Directors Australia (TDA) – TDA is the peak body representing Australia’s publicly owned TAFE institutes and university TAFE divisions.

 

English Australia (EA) – English Australia is the national peak body for the English language sector of international education in Australia representing over 120 member colleges throughout Australia.

 

Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) – FWO is Australia’s national workplace relations tribunal that provides free advice and information on the Australian national workplace relations framework.

 

Consumer Protection Agencies – State and Territories – This website outlines all states and territories consumer protection agencies (also known as Fair Trading or Consumer Affairs) that can provide you with information about your rights and options.

 

Ombudsman Agencies - States and Territories – This website outlines various Ombudsman agencies across all states and territories who can investigate complaints about the actions and decisions of public sector and some private organisations. Ombudsman is an independent and impartial.
